COMMITTEE UPDATES – 07/04/2025

after

we are not yet into the Summer Season and already there are some children below the age of 16 on their own in the Marina. Please note that:                                                                     Children are the responsibility of the member with whom they have entered the Mid-Harbour Small Boats Marina facilities and by whom they shall be controlled and prevented from tampering with the Mid-Harbour Small Boats Marina facilities or other person’s property. All children under the age of sixteen years of age shall be accompanied and supervised at all times by the member with whom they have entered the Mid-Harbour Small Boats Marina facilities.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           The Committee will monitor this and assure you that this issue will be dealt with. In the same way, I would also like to remind all members that any person over the age of 16 who enters the Marina with the approval of a member and to his/her boat, will be responsible for their behaviour and any Bye law that they break. The membership is tired of the laws being flouted by persons who care very little about our Marina and we believe that we have a mandate to put an end to this once and for all .

Dear Member…Following the motion passed unanimously in the AGM of the 27th March 2025 which read                                                                                                                                                                               •             This AGM would like to enhance RULE 21.25 which prohibits inflatables to make it clear. The Bye Law will now read: “The use of Canoes, Surf Boards, Paddle Boards or any type of Inflatables is not permitted within the Marina Waters. Small inflatable dinghies that have an engine and which have been registered by the Port, will be exempt” ,                                                                                            members are advised that they need to remove canoes, dinghies, boards from the Marina. If members have any of these items which they use outside of the Marina, we urge them to remove from the water and put them on their boats.  Failing that, the Pier Master will remove these items which will be held by him for a time after which it will be disposed off.
