Good afternoon Gents…Summer is now over and I would like to thank all members for the fantastic (relatively problem free) one that we have had. This was partly with the help of the two OSG guards who patrolled out Marina daily during the Summer. I have thanked OSG and asked them to transmit our thanks to them.                                                                                                                                  We will now start the Winter maintenance programme and one of the things which has been brought to our attention, initially by one of our members, and confirmed by the Pier Master, is the fact that some members are drilling (bolting) onto the wood on the Pontoons contrary to the Constitution. Please note that the Constitution prohibits this for a reason, this being that it deteriorates the wood at a much faster rate than would be the case. Members are therefore advised not to do this, but rather use string as most members do and those members that have will need to contact the Pier Master since these holes have to be filled in once the bolts are removed.
