Agenda:

1. Forklift Repairs
• The secretary advised that the Fork lifter had now finished its check and the operator new what the fault was. Unfortunately, this Fork Lifter was a UK model and the UK manual has had to be sourced by the repairer. Secretary would be following the matter up periodically.

2. Marinetek
• The Captain advised that we were still awaiting the overall programme for 2027 with Costings and would maintain Marina guide rollers at that stage. He would follow the matter up with Marinetek with a view of finalising the 2027 Maintenance programme.

3. OSG Summer Programme
• The President advised that OSG had been contracted as agreed last year for the Summer programme starting on 1st July 2026 until the 14th September which is the weekend following National Day. If there was a need to change this, it would be brought back to Committee.

4. Budget
• The President advised the Committee that at the end of June (i.e. 6 months into the year) the budget was being updated and we would have a working paper by the next meeting.

5. Arrears
• The President advised the Committee that some 25 members plus some 9 which had not paid the full amount, were in arrears and advised the Committee that these would now be treated as arrears and as was the case last year. They had been deprived of their membership rights primarily access to the Marina and as requested by the Committee, the process of revocation of berths as clearly spelt out in the Constitution and as requested by the Port authorities would start on the 1st July 26.

6. Water Leakages
• The President advised that there had been further leakages but that GJBS were in fact doing all the repairs themselves with no cost to the Marina. Notwithstanding, the members were upset at the continuous cutting of water supply. After a discussion, the President was tasked with following up with the MD of GJBS so that a decision is taken by the Board of GJBS. He had recommended that the water supply system should be carried round the Marina externally. Costings were now been finalised and would be provided shortly.

7. Yacht Club MOU
• The President advised that there has been an issue with the discount that the GRYC members. The issue was related to the RGYC initially not accepting that members whose boats were not berthed in the RGYC basin would not get a discount. He had written to the Secretary who had agreed that no discount would be applicable to those members whose boats were not berthed on the Yacht Club. The issue of members whose boats were owned by companies was also discussed with them and agreed, subject to Committee acceptance, that provided that the vessel in question was privately used and had no commercial use, the discount system would apply. It would not to the others. would be an ongoing agenda matter but there were no contracts to be reviewed this month.

8. Meeting with the Captain and Minister for the Port
• The President advised members that the CoP had still not called the quarterly meeting although reminded on a couple of occasions. In relation to the meeting with the Minister which happened early this year, the minutes were yet to be produced by her office and therefore could not be followed up. The position was further worsened with a non-existent liaison between the Port Controllers and the Pier Master.

9. Member Request
• The President advised members that Mr. Moss of Beth No. D70 had written in reference a ladder that was removed from the pontoon beside his boat. The matter was considered but the Committee felt that it was clear that members could only swim from behind their boats and therefore should exit the water in the same way. There were various Emergency ladders spread around the pontoons and Mr. Moss should ensure that either his father was able to exit via his boat or should be advise where the Emergency ladders were in case of an accident. The Committee would task the administration to advise Mr. Moss accordingly.

9. Yard Matters
• The issue of the Yard Opening/Closing times was discussed Ater certain representations had been made by tenants in the Mid Harbour’s Estate. The Operations committee felt that the Opening hours should be 0800 Mon to Fridays and 0900 on Weekends and the closing time should be 20.00 hrs in Winter and 21.00 in Summer. The President said that Shepards had written asking for the hours to be reviewed and the Yard should stay open until 22.00 hrs. A discussion ensue and the Committee unanimously backed up the decision to the new times. These should start on 1st July. The running of the Yard by the Pier master was also the subject of discussion with the Operations Committee commenting that the Pier Master was not running the Yard efficiently. The Vice President said that the Yard was in fact losing money due to inaccurate basic recordings of entry, exit and charges being set out wrongly. The Committee asked the President to do an investigation into this and to present it at its next meeting or as soon as it was ready.

THERE BEING NO OTHER BUSINESS. THE MEETING CLOSED AT 18.30 hrs.
