Following yesterday’s comments by me on the member’s page, I have checked the Constitution and Rule 7.2 states that members to be nominated require two members so as to propose and second the nomination. As advised yesterday, the forms ( now amended to take this into account) are in the Marina Office. Members are advised that the forms have to be handed in to the Office no later than Midday on the 20th March 2026 to give the Committee time to publish them. Please also be advised that only fully paid up members can nominate, second or accept a nomination.

Good Afternoon again, the above also applies to any member wishing to table a Motion, although in this case the member would require the support of 5 members and must keep to the same timetable. Forms also available in the Marina Office. Please note that unless fully paid up, members can neither propose nor support a motion.

The Minister has just called the first meeting of the Advisory Board for the 25th March 2026. The Committee will be putting a motion on the Empty berths and the overall relations with the Port and the effects of that on the Marina, on the 26th March, at the AGM. The text of this motion will be held back until we have all the information which we will present to the AGM. The AGM will be asked to give its ideas and formulate a policy the way forward.
