COMMITTEE UPDATES – 19/03/2026

GENTS….There are still some 250 members who have not paid their Berthing Fees. I urge you to do this before the end of the month so as not to attract the 2% penalty, approved in the last AGM. Also please pay before the AGM since although able to attend, you will not be allowed to vote.
On Friday or Saturday, you will all receive an e-mail (will also post here and on the Marina Noticeboards) with the Nominations and the Motions and general agenda for the AGM, for information. Remember the closing date for both Nominations and Motions is tomorrow 20th March 2026 and midday. Once posted, there will not be a possibility to nominate somebody or propose a motion to discuss.

8. COMMITTEE MOTIONS.
(a) This AGM notes the failure of Government to honour the Invoices sent last year for the Empty berths and notes that no action has been taken by the Government to sort this problem out once and for all. It also notes the lack of support given to the Pier Master by the Port in the exercise of his duties and urges the Committee to pursue this actively to ensure the proper running of the Marina. The Committee wish to solicit membership support to identify action to be taken to ensure action by GOG once and for all.
(b) This AGM asks the Committee to send an invoice to GOG, as we did last year, for the empty berths which are empty because GOG have a moratorium on the allocation of berths to the detriment of the Marina (and the use therein by the people of Gibraltar) and particularly its finances. The AGM notes that the one issued last year remains unpaid but urges the Committee to follow this through actively.
9. Any other business (urgent last minute issues only)
