COMMITTEE UPDATES – 28/05/2026

Mid Harbour Small Boats Marina
after

Good Afternoon…..Following the visit of Marinetek, they also highlighted that there are various issues by which members breach Rule 21.15, “damaging Marina equipment”. Issues like drilling into the Wooden pontoons or applying metal to metal contact between mooring equipment and marina hardware are two of the more usual issues. The PierMaster has been tasked with contacting those members and ensuring that they continue ensuring the fastening/ securing their boats but doing it in a way that does not contravene the rules. Members will be contacted and advised about the different issues and are asked to cooperate with the PierMaster Master. He will be contacting, wherever possible, members to correct these issues.

Thank you for your cooperation

Dear Members…. With Summer approaching, we ask members to ensure strict measures to ensure that there is no wastage of water. The rule whereby members ensure that the water hoses are disconnected physically from the supplies as you leave your boat, will be enforced. Once again, we have had a member in Pontoon E that left the hose open overnight causing substantial cost, which has now been invoiced to him. Fortunately with the new Sub Meters we monitor this.

Members MUST ensure that when they leave their boats, hoses are disconnected.

Once again the Pier Master will be removing those hoses that do not comply with best practice as explained last year e.g. hoses disappearing under pontoons, old or broken hoses etc.
