Dear Members,

Summer is on us again and there are certain issues that we need to tackle. We have already posted in this forum the rules that apply to all of us using the Marina.

It is in all of our interests to ensure that we comply to these rules and although we may be able accept that members can, in certain instances, do certain things in their own boats, some of which are covered within the rules e.g. swimming from their own boats, we need to ensure that   all the other rules are adhered to.

We would like to stress that we have already had complaints about persons using the common areas as if they belonged to their boats, storing belongings and even using the pontoons as an extension to their boats.

14.Pontoons and access thereto shall be free from obstacles or litter at all times.

This includes, but not limited to, Beach Umbrellas, Beach Chairs and any

other item on the pontoon.

15.In the interests of safety, fishing, bathing and diving from pontoons shall not

be permitted. Fishing and bathing from members’ boats shall be at the

member’s own risk and responsibility with bathing.

Inflatable of any kind are not permitted.

Although the committee will accept that there are times when members might use the area behind/beside their boats to sit and have further shade, this can ONLY apply to the area immediately behind or beside your boat. Any abuse of this will mean that this “concession” will be withdrawn.

3. Any member contravening any of the Association Rules or the provisions of

any membership requirements herein contained shall face disciplinary or legal

action as the Committee shall determine.

The Marina belongs to all of us but it is important that rules are complied with for all of our benefits. Any member that directly or through one of his/her guests, breaks these rules will be advised accordingly and failing this, will then go through the disciplinary system.
