Members are reminded that they should check or arrange for someone to check their boats, particularly in adverse weather. There have been issues over the last few days with boats taking in water and although our team will advise you if this is the case, it is your responsibility to ensure that your boat is safe and not taking in water with all its consequences. Any expense incurred in salvaging any boat, will undoubtedly be at the expense of the owner and under his instructions. Members who leave boats UNATTENDED in this type of weather run the risk of losing their berths as it is implicit in the Rules that it is the responsibility of the owner to care for it.
