COMMITTEE UPDATES – 09/04/2026

Mid Harbour Small Boats Marina
after

The Pier Master has noted that members are positioning lockers ( we consider that this definition in the Constitution Rules covers Toolboxes or any other type of storage box) on the finger pontoons. Although it is true that he turns a blind eye to items left in the finger pontoons e.g. hose pipes, which are jointly used by both boats adjoining the finger pontoons, this can in no way be translated into allowing members to break the constitution. Rule 21.23 makes it clear that no lockers and by inference any Storage boxes, are allowed in the Marina complex. You must understand that allowing this would not only break the rules but also create a precedent by which every finger pontoon would then be populated by lockers to the detriment of the Marina and its members.

I would therefore urge you to remove these boxes ASAP and put it on your boat where these items belong. Instructions will be given to remove these lockers as from next week.

NOTICE TO MEMBERS:-

Members please take note that during Thursday and Friday, Marinetek and divers will be carrying out important infrastructural works ( changing of sea flex).

During the works, and for health and safety reasons, the pontoon in question and pontoons to the north and south of this pontoon, will be temporarily closed.

Closed pontoons will have temporary barriers to restrict access. It has to be understood that because of the nature of the works, it will not be possible to identify the exact start and finish of the Pontoon works so members will have to check at the Marina with the Pier Master as to the restrictions during Thursday and Friday.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
