Dear members,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     In order to keep some Security and Control over the Marina, we have agreed with the Port that the Association will ask its Members to keep us informed of Boat movements and we in turn will advise the Captain of the Port accordingly if applicable. This will also help us in identifying the number of Empty berths within our Marina. We would therefore ask that members advise us of he movements of your boats which will mean that the berth will be empty for prolonged periods. Please be advised that it is contrary to the law to have the berth EMPTY for a prolonged period without the authorisation of the Captain of the Port.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          We will be checking this on a weekly basis and will write to you if your berth is empty and we have not been advised.

We would appreciate it if you advised us of your boat movements by e-mailing us, contacting our Member Forum What’s App, or ringing the Office from 0900 to 1430 Mon to Fridays.to help us patrol your Marina properly. We thank you for your help in this matter.

Following our control of water expenditure, we have managed to bring down the water consumption by half. We intend to keep this control and therefore ask members to report leaks should they encounter one. It is also important to ensure that members do not leave their hoses connected as it is difficult sometimes to see where exactly the water is leaking from. To this end, we will be bringing a motion to our Committee meeting of next week, outlawing the use of fixed water connections i.e. those connections which are carried below the pontoons to make them more accessible to the berth owners. Berth holders are requested to comment on this so that their views are taken into account when this is discussed. We accept and understand that in some cases the boats are quite a distance from the water source but hoses should be connected and disconnected after use.
