COMMITTEE UPDATES – 12/08/2026

Goid Afternoon…. Members are reminded if this post issued in 2025 wherein there were various members asking for the Committee to allow members to be able to have more than two cards to give to family members. This was approved by the Committee.
Good Morning Members….. following various representations made to the Committee about the inability of members to allow Bonafide Family Entitled persons access to the Marina because of the lack of access cards, the Committee has decided to look into to the possibility of creating Family membership by which any member may apply for Family membership for any direct family member ( son or daughter) up to a maximum of two persons. Family members must be above the age of 18 and directly related to the berth holder. Family membership will be £30 per family member. Family members will not be full members and therefore not have voting rights but will have access to all the Marina Facilities.
Members interested are asked to call into the Office between 0930 and 1330hrs Monday to Friday to fill out the necessary form to signify his/her intention. Passports/ ID Cards and birth certificates should be produced.
Once the Committee are able to consider this interest, it will get back to the member with further information. Further information can also be obtained via the Member’s forum what’s-app.
Good Afternoon Members…as an update, we still have 12 members in arrears falling into these categories 1. 6 have not paid at all and are now almost 5 months in arrears taking account that the end of March was the term agreed by the AGM, 2. 2 are pending notification by the Port to confirm that they have handed in their berths and therefore would have their invoices cancelled /adjusted with the deposit held and 3. 4 have pending amounts as they have refused to pay elements of the Invoice. The second letter has now been send and we will be issuing the third and final letter shortly after which they will be asked to attend a Disciplinary hearing where the Port will be present. Depending on the outcome of this and the mitigating circumstances brought to the attention of the Board at the hearing, it is very likely that the Board will expel the member allowing for CoP to revoke their berth.
