COMMITTEE UPDATES – 14/03/2025

Dear Member….. the Committee would like to remind all members that the Committee introduced Family Membership scheme in November 2024 by which any member that requires more cards for their family, could apply for extra cards up to a maximum of 4. Following various representations made to the Committee about the inability of members to allow Family Entitled persons access to the Marina because of the lack of access cards, the Committee has decided to introduce a Family membership by which any member may apply for Family membership for any direct family member ( son or daughter) up to a maximum of two persons. Family members must be above the age of 18 and directly related to the berth holder. Family membership will be £30 per family member. Family members will not be full members and therefore not have voting rights but will have access to all the Marina Facilities.
Members interested are asked to call into the Office between 0930 and 1330hrs Monday to Friday to fill out the necessary form to signify his/her intention. Passports/ ID Cards and birth certificates should be produced. The Committee would like to use this opportunity to advise members that Entry Cards are to be used ONLY by themselves or any body authorised by them to enter their boats. These persons have to be over 16 years of age. It is imperative for members to ensure that they do not give their cards out or open gates to any person (even if you think that they are a member). If you repeatedly open the gate to a member, this means that there has to be an issue. The Committee use the denial of access as a means to ensure people come to the Office for various issues ( arrears, unregistered boats etc. )and therefore allowing these persons into the Marina creates a serious security breach that can lead to serious repercussions. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ADVISE PERSONS WHO HAVE NO CARD TO VISIT THE OFFICE AND ERTAINLY DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD OR REPEATEDLY OPEN FOR THEM.
