Minutes

1. Finger Pontoon Installation

  • The finger pontoon is on its way and will be installed soon. There was a discussion about whether the loose blocks would jeopardise this operation and it was felt that the finger pontoon should be put in its place and when the works to repair the locks had been approved and a works programme determined, the Contractor would have to move this.

2. Boat Yard System

  • It was agreed that the boat yard system will be purchased. However, a procedure manual would have to be agreed with the Administration and the Pier master to  ensure proper implementation, particularly as it affects Payment and the control checks.

3. Boat Repairs and Parts

  • Parts for our own boat are missing but are expected to arrive this week.

4. Forklift Repairs

  • Repairs are still pending as we await the Amco mechanic to fix it.

5. Water Supply and Superyacht Water System

  • There is no new update on the water supply or the superyacht water system. It was agreed to wait until January at which point a decision would be made as to the course of action to take.

6. Water Meters

  • New water meters are working effectively; leaks have been identified and repaired. Super Yacht meters are also being monitored.

7. Yard Documentation and Licensing

  • Yard documentation and licensing processes are ongoing.

8. Debenture Allocation

  • A decision was made to allocate £150,000 to the debentures account.

9. Storage Units

  • New storage units have arrived. Various companies are interested in renting them after the notice was sent out and they will be met by the Operational committee this week. These will be granted Associate Commercial membership and will be available on all the Yard literature for the use by our members using the Yard.

10. Treasurer’s Report

  • The Treasurer’s report is needed by mid-January.

11. Pontoon Measurements and Fee Review

  • Pontoon measurements are complete. The proposed fee increase will be reviewed and presented at the AGM.

12. Houseboat Regulations

  • Houseboat regulations prohibit people from sleeping on boats.  The persons suspected of having boats used as Houseboats were written to and it appears that there are currently no individuals sleeping on the marina anymore.

13. CCTV Cameras and Maintenance

  • All CCTV cameras are repaired, and ongoing maintenance will be in place shortly.

14. Web Page and CCTV Cameras

  • The secretary (also responsible for IT) advised that the new Web Page is in the process of being prepared. It will cost about £2000 and will be able to take on board the roaming cameras in order to ensure compliance with our promise to our members that they would be able to view their boats. It will also have Yard details, and this will also be used to advertise out Associate Commercial members as at 9 above.

15. Nissen Hut

  • There were no news on the Planning Application of the Nissen Hut. It was agreed to push on this in the new year.
